Shy and self-conscious, Michelle usually keeps to herself. She's always had a fascination with the paranormal, and strives to approach it like a science. Naturally empathetic, she tries to see the best in others, but constantly worries that she's in people's way. This anxiety often makes her come off as stiff, or reserved, or even too 'formal' for the other kids.

 

On summer afternoons she spends her time in the local library, reading all the books she can find on supernatural occurences, and local lore.

At first, Emory Hill is just another classmate she doesn't speak to. But when the pair witness a strange phenomenon together, it sets them on a path of the truly bizarre.
